Since there are lots of posts, there’s a button on the right to find blogs you may have missed. Each has it’s own title. Lots to tell…and show! There’s even a place at the bottom to to leave comments as well!
Here we go…We decided to stay in DC for the night before we left…good thing! Only when Sarah dropped us at the hotel did I realize that I didn’t have my Nikon battery charger. So, I had to go and buy one at a local Best Buy. But now I had no car. So, booked a Lyft just to buy a charger. But out of the mishap, I had a great conversation with my driver, who turned out to be from Turkey, and spoke very little English. But, he had Google Translate and we were able to communicate via the app! All in all a wild experience! And to make matters better… he not only took me from the hotel to BestBuy but also took me back & didn’t charge me more!
We had our Global One Entry which includes TSA Pre-Check, but now they’ve got something new called “Clear” – where you use only your face as your ID…it was awesome because we got a personal escort all the way through security. They walked us quickly through all phases of clearing security. We didn’t have to remove liquids, shoes or anything! It was like being someone famous…so worth it for the zero stress! This will be awesome the next time we travel overseas!

Once through security, we then found the Capital One Lounge at IAD! Oh my god! What an experience! It was free w/ our Capital One Venture X card. Beautiful surroundings, free buffet, free liquor, free snacks! We departed IAD on time and are now in Atlanta in an affiliate Capital One Lounge, called the ATL Lounge…still free food and drinks, but certainly not the feeling of exclusivity as we felt in D.C.

In a few hours we’ll be officially on our way to Buenos Aires. We’re having a great time! Thanks Margaret for all your help in making this 40th anniversary present come true!
Talk to you all soon!
