Today we were up at 5 am so we could be at the airport 3 hours early\u2026and took a taxi so we didn\u2019t have to figure out how to get across the entirety of Rome to the airport. A good thing we did, and a very good thing I spent a few extra dollars to get upgraded on our security service and luggage\u2026well worth it.\u00a0 However, for all the good it did us\u2026we spent an hour in line to get through passport control.\u00a0 From there off to the lounge to wait for our delayed flight to board. Now here on the plane, we\u2019re about to land after 10 pm Rome time and 4 pm EST.\u00a0 Soon, we\u2019ll get our luggage and take a taxi or shuttle to our hotel and Sarah will come and bring us back to our place tomorrow and the ability to sleep once again in our own bed after 36 days away from home\u2026but a wonderful lifetime experience!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Both mom and I agree, the best part of this adventure was the cruise, where we were pampered and had the same place to go back to each night\u2026no packing or unpacking and best of all\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

No figuring out how to get here or there\u2026tryig to figure out what something said or what we needed to do\u2026simply let Viking do everything for us!<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
