We wound our way up the hillside to Gibralfaro Castle for sweeping views of the city and bay below; this hilltop was the site of defensive fortifications since the 8th century BC.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-347 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/fonh.com\/sacruise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_6597-malagra-300x226.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"226\" srcset=\"https:\/\/fonh.com\/sacruise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_6597-malagra-300x226.png 300w, https:\/\/fonh.com\/sacruise\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/IMG_6597-malagra.png 439w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We then came back to the city center to be shown M\u00e1laga. We did a lot of walking on fairly slippery marble streets that were being cleaned &amp; prepared for their parade for Easter. After being shown the sights of the city, we went to a captivating flamenco performance. Flamenco is a musical and dance style steeped in the folkloric traditions of southern Spain.
